Home is Family
Home is Family
Home to me doesn’t mean four walls around me. Even though I’m very lucky to have a warm and comfortable home, for me, the most important thing about home is being with my family. Being with family doesn't mean just living together. It’s the memories we make. Here are four examples of special memories I make with my family. First of all, the stories that my family tells me about their loved ones. I haven’t lost anyone that I was very close to but my family definitely has. It’s very important to me when my family tell stories about those people because it makes me feel like I knew them and that they were a part of my life. Another thing that is very special to me is the special occasions I have with my family. I don’t have too many family members here in Toronto, so when I get to spend time with family in and out of Toronto it’s super special. To me, it feels like my home is wherever my family is. No matter where they live, I feel like I belong there. Third, I love visiting my family in other places. It’s special to me because I get to see where my family played, worked and grew up, and live. Finally, the activities I do with my family are so important because you do fun things while spending quality time with family. In conclusion, I don’t think home is an apartment, a house, a shelter, or anywhere, as long as I’m with my family. Because family is home.
