What Home Means to Me

Home is different than a house or an apartment. Its more than a place you sleep or eat. Its more than a place you brush your teeth and hair. Its somewhere really special that has a place in your heart. It might have four walls and a roof, but there is always something special about a home. Whether the special thing is a family member or a pet, a couch or a chair a painting or a special chandelier your home is always there for you. There might be many emotions and feelings or many differences but the people, family, things and stuff in your home will always keep a good spot in your heart. My home means somewhere I feel safe, warm, cozy and loved. It means to me that nobody can scare or hurt me while I’m inside my home. Without a home I would feel lost and scared like I wasn’t needed or loved, everyone needs a home to feel happy and themselves! One of my favorite smells from my house is the sent of freshly baked chocolate muffins coming out of the oven that my bestie Emma baked. Each home smells different depending on what foods they’ve eaten and cooked, if they have a pet, what people have been in their house, maybe they have plants, that’s one thing that makes all of our homes homes. Size doesn’t matter when your comparing a house with a home because each house is unique and special no matter how small or how tall. I love my home and that is what home means to me.
