What Home Means To Me

It’s a loving place nurturing dreams, hopes and beliefs and bringing me happiness and joy. Some people say a home is just four walls and a floor, to me it’s a place where I’m cared for, loved, and where I can be me. Home is not just a place, home is where you’re cherished, cared and loved about. Home is something that shelters you from the ice cold winter. Habitat for humanity helps people in need of a home, Habitat for humanity helps to give them homes. When the roaring heat from the sun leaps across the bright blue sky shooting bright shiny rays of light, you go home to keep you from the heat, and you eat cold refreshing ice cream to cool down. Home is a place you gather with your loved ones, friends and family, to go outside, have a BBQ with the nice bright blue sky, with the savouring smell of food on the grill, and doing fun games and have fun with your family. When you enter your home you are welcomed into the sweet savouring delicious smell of my parents cooking. When it rains or snows your home shelter you from the rain or cold, you go to the fireplace, sit down and drink hot chocolate with your family. It’s a place you go when the sun is too much and the sun’s a fierce tiger in the sky, when you eat ice cream with your parents, cool down and play games. Home feels like a cozy, comfortable, calm place. Home is where you go when it rains and it makes a hiss. Home is a place where you take care of each other. It's filled with trusted and loved people who won’t hesitate to help you. A home is something everyone should have.
