WHAT HOME IS TO ME

I woke up lazy one day all messy and took a very long stare at my shelf full of one piece figures. Yet then I asked myself a very interesting thus far never asked question. What does home mean to me? My first reaction rushed to my face and it was questioned, jaw dropped and surprised. I went downstairs and each step I took brought words to my curious mind. Hopeful, safe, calm, and comfy. Then I realized all these words meant home. “Home”, I repeated quietly. I took a long smell of my home. I also sniffed food, fur, snow and laundry. After I started listening for ten seconds I heard happy shouts, opening and closing doors, mumbling and excitement although next my heart bloomed happily. After my mind shot with realization. Happy equals H, opening equals O, mumbling equals M and excitement equals E. H. O. M. E. Hmm h, o, m, e I kept mumbling. Home! I finally thought of it, home! Later I quickly touched the railings of my stairs and firmly said, “months of hard word”. Moments of shock later, my mouth opened and spit out a sentence. “I thought home was just walls and a roof, however no, it's a lot more”. I sigh and yell “everybody deserves a home!”
