Home Away From Home

(Belize) Do you have a safe space, a space to rest, a space to relax, a space of your own. I do. It is a safe space, a space to rest, a space to relax, a space of my own. In the morning, I love to sit on the cozy red-weaved couch watching the light from the sunrise dance across the floor. I hear a dove. Its song is so beautiful. Just before lunch I play in a little cove with the baby stingrays. When I get cold, I sit on the sand and watch the waves go in and out, in and out. After lunch, I sit on the dock with my feet in the water and look out to sea as the warm wind blows across my face. One day, my grandma was looking at the Barracuda and dropped her glasses in the water and the Barracuda swam and took them. Then we have ‘Happy Time’ and we drink the refreshing juice of a coconut.
