What home means to me

What home means to me Written by: James Boldt For me the meaning of home isn’t just being happy, it’s being together with my friends and family. It’s having fun and laughing together. A home means spending time with loving people. For me, it’s kind of lonely when I’m walking from school with strangers, but then when I walk into my home, it feels like I’m in a different place. Being in a home feels safe and secure. It feels nice and cozy. If I didn’t have a home, I wouldn’t be alive. It’s so comforting and amazing having a home! It smells so sweet and quirky. I like how the rooms are extraordinary and welcoming. If I had a mansion, I would be like “why did I spend all my money on this mansion when I could have bought a home”? My home is always waiting patiently for me after school. It’s like my home is calling my name. My home has so much warmth, even when it’s -30 degrees in the very cold winter. It’s so respecting and caring in my home. I like my home so much. I wouldn’t have a good feeling in my stomach if I didn’t have a home.
