What Is Home? Written By: Isla HOME is a place where you are safe, a place where you can be free, not a place where you have to be a different personality. HOME is where you get unlimited love, that is filled with laughter, kisses, and hugs. HOME is not a building with 4 walls and a roof, instead it’s your happy place, just for you. HOME is full of friends, people who respect you and me, and make jokes to make us happy. HOME is where important people give you food & water to eat, and a warm bed to sleep. HOME is me smelling the tasty aroma from the kitchen, that my mom is making, maybe a yummy chicken. HOME is where me and my siblings have an awesome time playing in the snow, yelling and shouting out funny jokes. HOME is a place where I can sit down in my garden on the grass and think about the memories I’ve made in the past. HOME is where I can come home and snuggle or play with my dogs after a rough school day. HOME is hearing the soft breeze outside when I’m jumping on my trampoline, but when someone tries to kick me off, I always make a scene. HOME is a welcoming and warm place where if you need it, everyone will be kind and give you space. HOME is all the traditions you make with your family like, pancakes on a Sunday morning or a funny film on a Friday night.
