The Meaning of Home

To me, the meaning of home is a place where you can go to sit down and reassure yourself that everything will be okay. Home is knowing that when you go to sleep you won't wake up cold, or hungry. Home can be knowing that you have a roof over your head, Home means that the people around you are there for you, and that you know you are loved. Home is having somewhere to eat, drink, and sleep. Home is also knowing that you have things that you should be grateful for, and what you have, and knowing that some people don’t have the stuff that you have. For example if you are sitting in your living room with your family, maybe opening gifts, but some people don’t have a living room, or a couch to sit on with their family, they may not have a blanket or a heater to warm your body on cold snowy days, or have a pillow, or be spoiled with television. Home is being able to have somewhere to store your clothing, or having property to play on, and maybe having pets and a place for them to sleep. Home is more than just a place to live in. Home is something you should always be grateful for. Home is not only knowing that you will be safe, home is something you should be comfortable in. Home is somewhere you and your family can hang out, but your friends also. It’s very unfair how we have beautiful Homes and we are very spoiled, and not many people can find room in their hearts to give someone food or some cash. Home is different to everyone, but my Home is my safe place with my family, and my friends.
