The Seasons of Home
The meaning of home to me is…
Summer: After a long day outside in a pool cooling down and playing on a play structure then coming home to cool down. After having fun in the sun coming home to fall asleep and a new day has just begun. The last day of school is having so much fun saying bye to everyone and the school year is done.
Spring: Having fun in the snow before it all melts away, watching the plants grow, the birds coming back, winter feels short don't you say? Throwing the last snowball, seeing the first butterfly, days getting longer my love for my home growing fonder. But then … the sign goes up. I feel like I'm going to throw up and just lost my home. I just lost everything: my memories, my way of life, I tossed all the way through the night.
Fall: In my new house feeling lost like a mouse. I got used to it before I knew it. I had a new routine, and I wasn't confused any more. Before I thought I lost everything but now I, but it was not that true. I just restarted. I guess I darted to a new home, not a house.
Winter: After having fun in the snow coming back to my house after the day glow. Sipping hot chocolate before going skiing, after a long day coming home to play some video games. Before the new year, have dinner before going outside and play with sparklers. Coming home to thank my home for helping me along the way.
