Poem About Home

Home is not a square place with a bed to sleep , and definitely a house to many people isn’t cheap. So don’t take a house for granted, it is the first step of building a home instead. Some people have lots of houses and they call people poor, no one but the homeless should have to ask for more. People think homelessness means no house, it hurts, but truly home is the heart. The home is where family lies, where family members are allies. The living room is where you can be yourself, where love and good feelings radiate itself. The bedroom, where dreams fill your mind, where your feelings are aligned. Rich people fuss over cars, when the homeless are bearing scars. Having more life experience with family is better than being lost alone in the galilee. Being poor is sad, so having a home makes you glad. So when the homeless meet people at a shelter like The Gathering place, it’s a space to embrace, a place they can call home.
