What Home Is To Me

A home and a house are two very different things in my opinion. A home is a place where you are comfortable, at peace, and can relax, but a house is the hollow shell of it. Now most times your home is at your house but sometimes your home can be at your friends house, a tree house, etc. For example, a lot of times when you go home rather than from work, from school, a night out, a sleepover, anything but when you go home you should feel comfortable, safe, and calm. Most times you tend to have stuff you like to do at home. For example, the stuff I like to do inside with family or by myself is cooking with my dad and mom and talking with my older brother. It's always nice to have a laugh with family. But sometimes when you're by yourself it's nice as well, hence I like going on walks when it's nice and not cold. The calming smell of fresh air always makes my mood better. Or even if you need time to relax, you can read and if you feel like it, you can play on your phone to space out, or even clean your room if it's messy (only if you feel like it!) Or having a long nap on the couch or in your bedroom are other ways to relax. This shows that you can hang out with family for a long amount of time and you should be happy to be by yourself and shouldn't be disappointed in yourself about not being able to be with anyone. It's okay to feel burnt out after a long period of time. Most people don't even understand how important it is to have a home let alone a home that you're comfortable and happy in. A lot of people have a house but it isn't safe. A lot of people don't even own a home in general. The importance of a home is that you have a place to eat, sleep, have a roof over your head, clean water to drink and shower in. But it's so hard now to buy or even rent a house, and it's Horrible how most people don't even understand how important a home is in your everyday life. You wake up in a home, you eat in a home, and you go to bed in a home. A home is so important for everyone and yet most people don't acknowledge it. I truly hope people will start to acknowledge the importance of their home. All things considered, I'm grateful for the people helping to make homes less expensive.
