Why is it Called Home
What makes my home a home. Ther are a lot of things that make my home a home. Such as my family friends and culture. In my culture we celebrate Eid and Ramadan Eid is 4 days long Ramadan is one month long. This is how we celebrate Ramadan. We fast for one month. We wake up and eat and when it is sunrise we don't eat or drink until sundown. Then when it is sundown, we feast. Then we have dessert, it is so yummy, that's how we celebrate Ramadan. This is how we celebrate. On Eid morning we all wake up and get dressed in our new Eid clothes. Then we go and eat some yummy breakfast and drive of to the mosque. Then we all pray when we are done praying, we get goody bags with candy inside. Then we go home and get money from our family. We get fifty dollars, and we also get presents. Then we go to people's homes. The kids play and have fun, and the parents talk and laugh. Then they serve us candy “yummy”. Then we go to someone else's home, or they come to our home.
Thats how we celebrate Eid. Thats the tradition I celebrate in my culture. Thats how my home is special to me. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for helping people across Canada for those in need!
