Home

Home can mean different things to different people. For example for some it can be a house, a home they have known their whole lives or perhaps a new house in a new city. What does home mean to you? What home means to me is a safe place, a place I can go after school and relax. A place where I can always feel safe and welcome. It is a place where my family is. When I’m away from home I miss my forest, my family, my pets, my bed, and my room. My room is the place in my home that is my space and it will always be my space. It is nice and sometimes clean…It’s filled with all my favourite things like my art supplies, my bed, my decorative pillows, my hanging vines, my lights, my skin care products and more. When I’m at home I feel warm and happy. My dog keeps me safe too. by thinking she's tough but really she’s not. She makes me smile and I love to watch her play in the forest behind our house. Another thing I like to do is watch Gilmore Girls with my mom. Another thing I love doing at my house is going swimming with my friends and my dog or my brother in the summer. Taylor Swift once said, “home is where the heart is”, and that’s where mine is. I love that my home has always been my home since I was a baby. If I ever moved houses I would be so sad because I love my home so much. I feel so bad for people who don’t have a home because home is a very important place to feel safe. So That’s what home means to me.
