What does home mean to me?

Dear Habitat for Humanity, February 12, 2025 What does home mean to me? Home means family, feelings, pictures, and memories to me. I can always let my feelings go in my home. I always feel like I belong in my home. Home is a very strong place for me to feel safe and comfortable. I can feel safe in my home, but not always in a house. I eat, sleep, and live in a house, but a home is a place where I can feel like I belong. Soft blankets make me happy, it can make me feel safe and comfortable, I smell buttery popcorn waiting for me to eat them. It looks very soft, fluffy and comfortable for me to snuggle in, while watching movies. It is not just a blanket, it is home. I know that sometimes my parents and I can fight but I always know that they will love me. I am loved in a home. I have a lot of memories and pictures. I know that pictures and memories are timeless, I can never forget all of the memories that I have. My parents always tell me that pictures and memories are important to this home. It can let us know what has happened in our lives. I think that everyone deserves a home. A place where we can know our memories, families, and a place where we can let go of our feelings. A place where we can feel comfort and safety. Sincerely, Tiffany
