There's No Place Like Home
Then Dorothy tapped her ruby heels and said, "There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home."
Lily looked up from her book and thought, ya, there is no place like home. She set down her book and got out of her chair, then she went downstairs and into her room and sat on her bed. She noticed that her window was all fogged up and then a thought came in her head. My home keeps the warm in and the cold out. My home keeps me dry in the rain. She was still thinking after two minutes and then she remembered that some people don't have a home.
"That's sad," she said. It must be hard not having a home. You aren't warm in the winter and you don't have a comfortable bed to sleep in. You also don't have a kitchen to cook delicious meals she thought.
She heard footsteps. It was her mom.
"Hi. I was concerned you were down here for a while." said Mom.
"Yes, it's sad that people don't have a home." I said.
"Yes it is sad, but there's some people that spend their time building homes for people who don't have one," Mom said.
"Really?" Lily asked.
"Yes, so you don't have to worry about it ." Mom replied.
"Ok, good night." Lily said.
"Goodnight."
