Meaning of Home
When I think of home I think of,
My Dogs who loves people and their home,
My home is not just a dome,
It’s more than just four walls,
It’s where love and joys calls,
A house where elegance lay,
It maybe by the bay or in the clay,
It maybe bright and in height,
But it doesn’t feel right ,
It’s warmth filled with love and hope,
It’s warmth because of my family saying nope to my mope,
It’s overwhelming with the family suppers and gatherings,
It’s relaxing when tucked up with my blankets and putting away my things.
When I think of home I think of,
Memories, laughter, fun and love,
And when I say my home is all those above my home is a dome where happy thought roam,
Where I cry the most,
Or when I eat so much toast,
It’s where I became so bold who would’ve knew,
A place of joyful playfulness,
Can bring on fun, love and happiness,
Football nights are loud,
When bedtime comes it’s a cloud,
It’s comforting to know I have so much support, love, hope and laughter,
It’s comforting to know we can all play after,
It’s peaceful with the smell of the food,
It’s peaceful when we are all in a good mood,
Home is a paradise not like anyother,
Home doesn’t have to be a place as mine is my brother.
A home where judgment is gone,
A home where judgment goes wrong,
A home can be calm or busy but a home is always a haven,
A home can animals: bunnies, dogs or a raven,
A house you can feel safe at,
A house may have a cat,
A house may have pretty paintings,
A house may have sparkly hangings,
But a home has love and hope,
A home has good family to help you cope.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for providing homes for other families.
