My Home Is Not a House

A house may have shelves and walls, but my home has family and love. Houses might have dogs, but my home has more than just dogs. My home has loveable dogs. A house is just a building with people talking, but a home is more. A home is where you meet new siblings and other new family members, sometimes even wonderful new pets. Sometimes moving from a home is a big step to go on your own. When you walk into that big empty house, it may have new smells or new looks, but when you walk around it starts to feel like your home. In a house you can still feel safe, but in a home there is a lot more to feel. The feeling of home is comfort, love, and worship. A house has many good feelings, but home has many great feelings such as friendship, care, and happiness. In a house you have friends and family, and in a home you have more new friends and more family. In a home there are shelves full of happy memories, but a house has shelves full of pictures. My home is not just a place to live and sleep, my home is a place to sing, talk, play, and to share our love.
