What is a home?

I live in a house, built on a street, My family and I think it is pretty neat. But what is it that makes a house a home? Is it the people, the location or the garden gnome? When I wake up each morning, I am in my home, I feel safe and happy and never alone. But when my family and I leave our home for the day, Does it mean our home becomes a house that way? Sometimes a house is just a place to stay, When we visit friends or go away. What happens if a house is an empty space, Does it still welcome you with a warm embrace? A home can be any size, big or small, Ideally it has room for all. It can be made of many things, But does that affect the joy it brings? Is it the bricks or the wood or the walls, The number of rooms or the paintings in halls? Does a gigantic tv or the latest phone, Make it a place we want to call home? A house can be filled with all kinds of stuff, But a home is a place where just love is enough. When I get off the bus and race through the door, Does my house become a home once more? We all need shelter wherever we live, Helping people provide homes is a great way to give. I hope that one day the world can achieve, A home for every person to dream and believe.
