This is Home to Me

This Is Home to Me Home to me is the warm smell of the banana bread that my Mom makes. For me home is somewhere where I feel safe because of my small bedroom. At home I feel loved by all the people around me. Home is where I can be really lazy after school. I feel happy when I get home from diving at 8:00 p.m. What I don't like about my home is that my hands are always sweating on the basketball when I'm playing a game with my brother. My home makes me feel comforted because of my fuzzy rug in my bedroom. If I didn't have a home I would feel really lonely and lost because I don't have a family or home. I feel safe at home because there are walls everywhere and nothing can get in. I'm always so excited to get home at 3:00 from school. Home to me is also the community or neighborhood around me because there are kids everywhere and I can make new friends in my neighborhood. Home is also where I get exhausted from grinding my mini hoop after school. Whenever I go to my friends' houses they sometimes make fun of me and when I leave I feel happy when I get home. Home is the sweet taste of the chocolate ice cream that I eat for dessert. Home is where I hear my brothers yapping about Brawl Stars. When I look up to my brother’s bedroom, I see the LED lights in all different colors. All this is home to me! -Ben Sutton
