How Home Should Feel

First, a home is a place of love from my family. There’s warmth from the kitchen when the stove is on. A house is a place with four walls and a roof, but a home can be anywhere you want it to be as long as you feel safe, joyful, respected, loved and comfortable. A home is a special place because you feel happy and loved. Your home can be small, but just remember that it's not the size of your home that matters, it's what you feel when you're there. Home is a place where you should feel as warm as a blanket. Next, you might think you just have a house but you have more than that, you have a home. You need to be thankful that you have a home because in a home you feel cared for and loved. When you go to sleep you know that when you wake up you will have a loving family waiting for you. You have a place that you can change and create, to match your style: A home that is just right for you. Homes don't have to look the same. They can be big or small, but they each have their unique spots. You just need to feel good feelings that make you comfortable. Home is a happy place where you should feel safe and sheltered. But you might not always feel sheltered if you're homeless or if you moved somewhere new. Now you know how you should feel at home. The feelings you should feel are joyful, safe, comfortable and respected. Just remember that you have a home anywhere that you are. Just feel those feelings. So, thank you Habitat for Humanity for making homes.
