Finding My Home and Feelings

My house is warm, my family is full of love. My mom, she’s kind, my dad is intelligent, my brother is smart and strong. My family is separated because my brother lives in Toronto, Ontario. He lives in a house, a room in a house. But that’s not his home. My family moved many times, which they moved from Vietnam, to Japan, and then to Canada. But I never found my home or knew home existed. I asked my mom, “where’s our home?” and she answered, “Our home is in Hanoi, Vietnam.” She said it’s in Vietnam because we never bought a house, and Vietnam is our home country, so we feel comfortable. Later in life, I’ve noticed that home is not where you own, it’s a place where you feel loved, comfortable, and warm. Home is like a feeling. For example, you feel different when you come home from a friend’s house. It's been 6 years since I was in Vietnam, and I want to go back home. I have 3 homes now: Japan, Vietnam, and Canada. My homes are homes because of my family and friends.
