Tom's Home

Tom’s Home By Peter Giesbrecht Once upon a time, Tom was all alone and had no home. Tom felt very lonely. But one day his family invited him to a birthday party. He had lots of fun and they watched two movies. After the party he had to go back to the forest where he lived. He made a camping fire to stay warm and went to sleep. When he woke up in the morning, the whole forest was burnt. Tom felt scared. He went looking for breakfast, but he only found one piece of bread. He went to his parent’s house and asked them for help. They gave him money. Tom felt very grateful. Then he went to the city and bought a lot of food. Tom also bought wood, cement, and all kinds of things to build a home in the city. His parents came to help him build his new home. He felt lots of love from his family. Once the home was built, Tom felt great and happy. He was jumping around before he went to bed. When he woke up in his new home, he was not sad or lonely, so he bought breakfast. Then he got a job, so he could buy everything he needed for his new home. He invited his family over for a party now that he had a home. They watched two movies and ate a lot of chocolate cake and ice-cream. Then his family went home and went to bed. After working for two weeks Tom bought a new race car. Now his home had friends and a car. He was never sad again like he was in the forest with no home.
