What Home Really Means

I am extremely grateful for having a home. I can't imagine what life would be like if I didn't. Home isn't just a place, it is family. Watching movies with family, playing board games with family, eating supper, breakfast and lunch with your family, going to the park or beach with your family, and even going to the store with your family. I love my family. Home is sports. Playing football or soccer or shooting hockey pucks in the backyard. Training for sports you love in the garage or in the basement. Going to the field or the court or the rink to grind for hours. Even if you're not actually signed up for any sports, you are still playing them more than you think. When I play sports it makes me feel safe and happy. I love sports. Home is pets. Going for long car drives to pick up your pets. Feeding your pets and snuggling your pets. Watching your pets run around. Hearing your pets bark or meow. Taking your pets to the vet to get them checked out. Smelling your pets, it might not be the best smell but it reminds you of home. When I see my pets it makes me feel happy. I love my pets. These things might not all happen in a home but I wouldn't be able to play sports or play with my family without one. I am grateful that I have one and I feel awful for people who don't have a home. My home is all of these things, but most of all, home is … love I love my home
