What Does Home Mean To You?

Some people may not have the best home life, but in my opinion, I have the best home I could ask for. Home means a comforting place to rest and no judgment. I grew up with vet clinics and fishing with a sprinkle of four wheeler rides, but I wrote about what I'm currently growing up with, for example, love, animals and painting. Family is what I value most, even though not every family is happy, mine isn't perfect either. My mom is 48, she is a very independent woman and takes disrespect from anyone, I talk to her the most when something is wrong. She is the boss at nova veterinary clinic, she also mixes her love for animals with love and compassion for everyone else in her family. My dad is 49, he works at bucks home hardware, my dad loves AC/DC, Metallica, country music and other rock bands, but I think i get my music taste from him. My brother is 13, he may be annoying most of the time but he taught me how to drive a four wheeler and takes me on four wheeler rides on the trails. I like my brother a teeny bit but my parents I love much more. I have a lot of pets, its a bunch of work but home wouldn't be home without them. Harvey and Ellie are my two dachshunds, both of them are show dogs but Harvey got his canadian championship last year and Ellie is still working on it. I’m in 4H so I show Ellie. Fizz is my golden retriever, she is 9 years old and is a dark orange dog with white fur in her coat, she is also super cuddly. We have Bob who is my chihuahua, he is pretty barky when you first meet him but once he gets used to you, he’s pretty good. I might have more pets but my dogs I love the most. I love painting but I usually paint with my mom, which makes it more fun. The paintings I make I find unique, I’m not the best at painting but I love seeing the art come out unique and pretty. Painting with my mom makes my worries sorta wash away. My mom is an amazing painter, when I paint with her, she makes amazing and beautiful art. I love when we get the chance to paint with her. When I get my hands messy, I feel like a true artist. The paint on my hands just feels so right. As you can tell, I love painting, but when my hands get paint on them, I feel free. So, now you’ve heard about my idea of home and honestly, I wish I could talk more about it but I won’t. The things I wrote about are the things I love about my home. I love that it's so incredibly easy to talk to my family about problems. Home might mean a lot of things, but to me, home means comfort and support.
