What Home Means To Me

Home means coming home from a long day of school and feeling the love of my family when I walk in the door. It means the meaningless fights with my siblings just to reconcile right after. It means having a sense of freedom in my privacy. It means to feel the warm soft hugs of family that comfort me. eating the food that is made by Mom. She always says it is made with love which I never believed. Having the love and appreciation of family that will always love and cherish me. It means feeling my cozy and soft bed that I can happily sleep on. It means the unconditional love from my dad and knowing how much he provides for me. It means feeling the superiority of my little brothers just to get grounded because no matter how good or bad your day was you can relax in your home. Feeling the warmth from the cold winter day. Getting the cold after a hot summer day. Remembering happy moments from the past like seeing my youngest brother walk for the first time. Doing stupid things with my brother that all ways gets us in trouble. Having to “lose” to my youngest brother to make him feel good. This makes me remember when I had to leave my old home in Lebanon and leaving my family and my friends and my old school, to have a better life in Canada Sometimes you take home for granted until you lose it.
