Home

Home isn’t a place. Home is where to embrace. Home isn’t just a roof. It’s a state of mind. It’s something I can call mine. Sometimes, I’ll have to say goodbye, with a faint cry. You can’t find it, you can’t change it. It’s wherever you go. You make it your home. You can’t build it in thirty minutes, just like Rome. Things can happen, siblings can be mad. Short of breath, experience loss. Life is something your brain can’t toss. It’s there, and then, gone. But think again. You never have nothing, nothing doesn't exist. Anxiety drops when at home. A million weights, gone. Peace overtakes all. Tranquility and love are an essence, an aroma. Whether it’s cooking with family, or baking. It’s there, it never isn’t. It can appear, disappear, but never be lost. Home is passed down, like a family heirloom. Forty percent of people can’t experience it. Habitat for Humanity is working to make this thirty, then twenty, then ten, then soon, zero. I can’t wait for a world like this. Maybe I don’t have to.
