What Home Means to Me
Home is a welcoming place, where I can come home from a bad day and I can relax. I can let out all my negativity, disappointment, stress and replace it with kindness, satisfaction, and determination. Home is where the people I love will support me no matter what.
To other people, my home is just a slab of bricks that come together to form a building, but to me home is so much more than that. Home is a place where I can feel free, and let go of all the rules in my daily life and spend my time with the people I love the most. Home is a loving environment filled with all my tokens of adventure; seashells, crystals, and souvenirs. All my favourite things are at home. Home is watching a movie on a Friday night next to my mom and dad with a big bowl of popcorn. Home is waking up at dawn and looking out the window for any trace of snow. Home is feeling happy, loved and carefree. Home is a place made of experiences from my life that help teach me.
A house is a place that offers shelter. There are thousands of houses in the city where people live but there is only one which you call home. People who are away often say they're homesick, not house sick. I believe this is because they are missing their loved ones from home, not the house itself. This is home and everyone deserves one.
