Home = Everyone?
On February 12 Kasie was enjoying her day at school. Her teacher Ms.Vandenburg said “ehem! Students!” she calls the children for attention “This week we are going to do a writing assignment. whoever's assignment is good they will win a prize!” as Ms.Vandenberg reads the email Kasie starts to get goosebumps. After Ms. Vandenberg had finished reading, the class started to brainstorm ideas about what home meant. After that, the class shared their ideas and the bell rang.
When Kasie’s school ended, she headed home…not knowing what the actual meaning of home is. When kasie got home she asked her father if he knew what home ment. he said “it’s a house.” She asked her mother if she knew what home meant and her mother responded with “it means a house…like the one we are living in.” Then Kasie tried to think about what home meant. She thought and thought and thought till then, memories of her in her home with her whole family popped up she remembered playing some board games with her cousins, doing prank wars, making food together and pulling all nighters. She also remembered having sleepovers at her cousin’s house, having thanksgiving at her house and having her little brother's birthday party at her house. She quickly took her laptop and opened it and started typing on google docs all her memorable moments she had in her home
“Home is where you grow and learn. Home is like a Happy and sacred place. Home is an Oasis place. Home is a Memorable place. Home is not just a place, you can carry home Everywhere you go” she typed. After some typing she submitted her work to her teacher.
Habitat For humanity.. “Everybody deserves a home.”
