The Meaning of Home
Hi, I am a student in grade 5. Home means so much to me, and I'm so thankful to have one. I hope in this essay you find out more about what home means to me.
A big part of having a safe and loving home is the people around you. My family and neighbors are the most loving community I could ask for. Everyone in my community is very nice, and cares very much about me. The reason they care so much is because they are all my friends and know me so well. My next-door neighbors are my best friends, I've known them my whole life and we spend a lot of time together. In my neighborhood everyone helps each other, we shovel the sidewalks and help mow each other's lawns.
Another reason home is so special to me is because it is safe. I'm so thankful to have a roof over my head, because some people might not have one. The roof keeps me dry and warm and gives me shelter, which helps a lot in the winter. I'm also thankful that I can have electricity, so that I can have lights during the night. One more reason home is special to me is because we have fireplaces that keep the house warm.
My house has everything I need, like food and water. I'm thankful for the food and water because some people have a hard time getting it. Home also brings my family together. We cook special recipes together and share meals everyday.
I'm also very thankful for my shower, I'm glad to have a shower because it helps me stay clean. Another thing I'm thankful for is a bed. I'm thankful for a bed because it lets me have a comfortable and warm sleep. One final thing I am grateful for is blankets, because they help me to stay warm at night.
Home means so much to me, it gives me shelter and warmth and it brings my family together. My home brings me joy and is my favorite place to be. This is what home means to me.
