What Home Means to Me

Home to me, is smelling my moms cooking at dinner time.It always has the yummiest smell to it every time.I love playing outside for hours on end until it gets dark because it is calming and relaxing especially when you're overwhelmed and need something to calm you down. Home to me, is having a closet fort where I can curl up and listen to movies or read a book and make all my worries just float away. Home to me, is family because what would be a home without family? because I know having no family in your home automatically changes it into a house and not a home! Home to me, is being in a safe, cozy and clean environment to do whatever I need so I can do it efficiently. Home to me, is being able to express my feelings when I need to because if I need someone to talk to I know I always can. Home to me, is having lots of food so I never go hungry because who likes being hungry! Home to me, is having a clean room so I can think through my thoughts and have a nice environment to sleep in because when I don't have a clean environment I get very overstimulated. Home to me is cooking food for my family because I love cooking for people. I try to learn a bunch of recipes so I can cook yummy food for everyone. Home to me is taking showers every day before I go to bed because it calms me and it feels amazingly relaxing .Home to me is getting off the bus and leaping into my moms arms as she asks how was school Devrie? Home to me is knowing I'm loved and respected no matter what!
