Home is Where the Heart is…

A home is not a house. It's not four walls with a roof. Or even seven rooms with many special objects. A home to me is a place you can feel accepted. It’s where you can never be lonely as the people you love are there. It can be where laughter and joy fill the air or where silence and “depth” are. It’s probably where your loved ones are. But for me, I find it in one place. “Home is where the heart is”. I think this means it’s where your memories, both good and bad, are. A house is where you might go after school. A home is the family you come to in that house. I’m very lucky to have a home AND house. Some don’t have one so be grateful. This is what home means: Home is not a house. Others may not have a home. Many animals have a home like a mouse. Everyone deserves a house, but not everyone has a home. To me, a home is a place where my loved ones are. They comfort me and care for me. This is what I think but I’m sure that everyone can agree a home is not a house. It’s a special place you can be you.
