When I get home, it’s sure to excite, inside my heart, it feels so bright. I hear my guinea pig, he squeaks and squeaks, I go upstairs, he comes out to peek. Now that my other one, Billy, is gone, the house is so quiet, all day long. He was the best! So curious and fun, he made the day better, for everyone. But my guinea pig, Robin, keeps me company. We sit on the couch, so warm and comfy. When I am at home, I feel loved, I am so happy, I get a big hug. My sister is sitting up in her room, I put my bag down, it clunks and goes boom! My mom greets me with a loving, “Hi!” I look at her, smile, and then reply… “Hi” I respond, with an exhausted groan “Are you hungry?” she asks, as if she’d already known. Your home is where you feel safe, Where you can go as your perfect escape. Where you can get away from the troubles in your day, Where you can go outside to dance and play. When I feel at home, i can be myself, Where no one can tell me to be someone else. In the kitchen, my nanny is baking, The smell is delightful, it’s breathtaking. I take a big bite, it’s delicious and sweet, I get goosebumps, down to my feet. Now although my home is different from yours, Who knows? Maybe we have the same doors. So cherish your home, the sounds, the smells, H-O-M-E what does that spell?
