What Home Means to Me

Home is an amazing place to be. To me home means comfort, family, and food. When I come home from school, I smell my mom cooking or baking something fresh. On frosty winter days it is always toasty and warm inside. Home is where family comes to gather and spend time. These are the reasons I love my home. I love spending time with my family and playing games at home with them. Some of my favorite board games to play are catan, connect four and monopoly. When we are not at the rink playing hockey, on weekends we like to make snacks and watch movies at night in our basement. We get pillows and blankets and make the couch all cozy. In the summertime I play road hockey with my mom, dad, and brother. We like to play outside and swim in our pool together. When I come home from school, I smell my mom cooking delicious food. She loves to cook and bake. She makes some of my favorite foods and the house smells so good. Some of my favorite meals are chicken pot pie, stir-fry, and chicken pasta. I like to help her in the kitchen with different recipes. My favorite thing to bake is cake pops. My home also gives me the feeling of comfort. It is a place that makes me feel safe and warm. When I am at home I can relax and be comfortable with my family spending time together. I know that if I need to talk to my family i can always go to my parents at home and they will help me no matter what. In conclusion my home is my favorite place to be. It is where I know I can go, and my family will always be there. It is a place where I like to hang out with my friends and family. I love my home.
