Meaning of Home
In my opinion I have a home not a house. Some of the reasons why I have a home and not a house is because my family is so loving, understanding and trustworthy.
Firstly, my house is a home because we are all so loving. For example whenever my mom or dad comes home we come running towards them with open arms ready to hug them. We also willingly help out with chores when we get asked. My home creates an environment where happiness thrives. For example after sledding we make hot chocolate and bond over all the stories that happened while sledding. Another reason my home is loving is that my parents teach us life lessons that make us better people.
Secondly, another reason my house is home is that we are all understanding of each other. We listen to each other without judging one another. For example I could go up to my parents and tell them my feelings without them judging me. We also love to spend quality time with each other whether it’s watching movies, having family game nights, sledding, the list goes on and on about what we do together. My home also recognizes the effort, not just the results. For example one of us could shovel the backyard and we would recognize the hard work they just put in and thank them for doing that.
The last reason my house is a home is we are trustworthy. One reason for that is because we can keep promises. For example My mom promised to take me to the mall one time, she kept that promise and it was super fun for the both of us. My home is also trustworthy because we strengthen the family bond by having each other's backs. For example if anyone was making fun of my brother I’d have his back and stick up for him.
In conclusion that is why my house is a home full of a loving, understanding and trustworthy atmosphere. Why is your house a home?
