Meaning of Home

My home is not a house because a home is filled with family, care and emotions like love and so many others. Firstly, in a home there are many different emotional scenes that create memories. Emotions like love,anger and happiness are what makes my home a home. Secondly, my home might not be the best home in the world but it's filled with family. Most homes are filled with family, some are filled with friends. In a house you're alone, in a home you're never alone. Thirdly, I love my home, it loves me and my family loves me. My family also cares for me. They give me many examples of their care every day. Care is easily spotted, especially when it's everywhere. In a home it is everywhere. Every home has its quirks and differences and that is why it's not a house. A house is bland and simple, no one feels the warmth and comfort a home gives. A home may have holes in the walls or stains in the carpet but a house is so simple and dull that it actually looks perfect but perfect isn't good. Perfect isn't warm or happy; it's not better than anything else because a home is perfectly un-perfect. In conclusion homes are different but that makes it a home. Homes are not houses because they have friends and family. A home is caring and emotional no house can ever be like that. Thank you habitat for humanity! You teach us why homes are homes.
