Home is Joy
Home can mean a bunch of things. Home is so much more than a place you live; it is the people you love. Home to me is family and friends who sometimes fight but always make it right. Home can be feelings, memories, or even sounds. Home is the sound of horse hooves or when a horse starts to gallop. Home is wind going through my hair. Home to me is snuggling up close with mom. Home is petting your pet, for me a rabbit Snowball. When you feel down, they cheer you up.
Home can be places. It is coming back to school where people are happy your back and you feel like you belong. Home is not caring what other people think. Home is doing what you love and being with the people you love. Home is talking and laughter at the dinner table with the whole family. Home is laughing with friends and enjoying time together. Home is playing with my siblings, inside and outside, Summer, Winter, Fall and Spring. It gives not just them joy, it gives me joy. It is running into mom’s or dad’s arms after school.
Homes are, where you feel safe, you feel joy and you feel comfort and freedom. You know you belong when you are home.
