My Meaning of Home

My home is simply not just a house, It is a world of wonders springing like a mouse. I could feel the warm summer breeze brush upon my face, The birds sing to their heart's content with every cheerful phase. As I take a walk in the forest’s heart, I can feel every little crumple of the leaves and sticks, How does nature not fall apart? Because every particle sticks and works together and they never mix. Every day the flowing river bumps into a tiny pebble as if greeting it day to day. As I run down the narrow path to the minty aroma flowing through the air, I see fresh peppermint ready to pick, just waiting there, The smell itself smells exactly like home, I just feel the fresh minty smell within me, there is no other way to describe the comfort in my home. My home is not a place or a thing it is a feeling I carry around, Home is within my heart where it is bound, My thoughts are telling me a house is made of walls and beams, But a home is built with love and dreams. The spirit of home will always live in ourselves, That’s why we need Habitat for Humanity to help people without a home to find the love and comfort they deserve.
