Meaning of Home

My favourite part of my day is coming home. It's where I feel safe, comforted, supported and surrounded by love. My dog Phoebe is the first to greet me. When she is excited to see me, it brightens my day. I am so happy to see her because the school day is over, and I missed her. I feel the warmth and coziness of my home. I feel safe because I know my family is there to always make me feel better. I give my mom a great big hug when she comes home from work because I miss her. We talk about our day and then she starts cooking and the whole house smells wonderful. The scents of tasty foods fill the air. I love to smell her delicious food. A home is not the same if you don’t have a family because you have no one to hang out with and to talk to. There is a lot of laughter in a home and kindness spreading around the home. Memories are being made and everyone feels loved. Home is where everyone can calm down, relax, and talk to each other. Home is special when you spend time with family watching movies, playing board games and enjoying a meal together. Home is a place where you can go to sleep safely and wake up in the morning near your loved ones. Home is where you are surrounded by a lot of love and happiness. If you are sad then your family is always there to help you through tough times and comfort you. A home has a unique meaning to everyone, for me it's where a family gathers to connect with their loved ones and make memories and moments that shape each other and their lives.
