What Home Means to Me

Home is a place where I can feel safe, warm, and welcome. When I am home it feels like I can tell people how I feel. My family helps me feel welcome and loved when I am home. It feels like a warm blanket is hugging me. I feel very lucky to have a home and a roof over my head. We have moved a lot in my life. I remember when I was five I had to move out of my house because my landlord made us leave. Since then we have moved 3 times within 5 years. I love my house now and I do not want to move from it. In summer 2023 and 2024 my dad worked at a camp called Camp Hermosa. We had to live at this camp all summer. At the start I was not so sure about it. I thought that I was going to miss my home too much. But then I realized this will be home because I am with my family. Like when my mom is making dinner and the whole house smells so good. I have so many good memories in my house that I will never forget. This is what home means to me.
