If We Could Make a Difference.

It is summer and I have moved to my new house! I just moved to the new neighborhood and I'm going to ride my bike. I'm even more excited because this is the first time I can ride alone. I put on my gear and let's go! Chapter 1 The House As I ride I have to go up a steep hill. When I'm going up I see a man looking at his house. It has a lot of holes, dust and his kids and wife looked really hungry. He looked sad and I felt sad for him, but I kept riding. Chapter 2 The Store When I was in a busy spot of the town I felt a little hungry so I went to the convenience store to buy a chocolate bar! Then I saw a donation box on the side of the desk. It said to please donate to Habitat For Humanity! So I donated a toonie and a loonie to the box. Chapter 3 Back Around and Home! When I go back around the corner I see the same man and his family with a big smile on his face. He was on the phone with someone (I think that it had something to do with his house.) Then I went home. A few weeks later that man had got a new house and that house did not have holes and dust and he had a happy family! It wasn’t a house now, it was a home. I thought if a loonie and a toonie could make that big a difference in people’s lives then I can, too. I'm happy that I have a loving family in my new home and I hope everyone can have one, too!
