The Meaning of Home

I think home is where you can celebrate things, feel happy, and get food and water. There is a big difference between a house and a home. A house is a place or structure with a roof and different floors. And a home is where your family is and where you make memories. Three of my favourite things about home are that home is a place where you can celebrate things, feel emotions, and get things like food, water, and toys. Nothing beats home! Home is where you can celebrate things like birthdays, christmas, and other things. That is, because at home, you can feel love and have fun. For example, during Christmas we always go visit my grandma, grandpa, and other different relatives. She always cooks and buys a nice meal for all of us. And that I think is a good feeling of home, and I think everybody should have a place like that, that they can feel their good feeling of home to! At home you can feel lots of different emotions, and my favourite one is happiness. Most people feel happiness at home, because of a certain thing like, family, friends. At home you don’t always feel good. Most of the time I would just feel calm or content, and other people should also have that feeling! Home is a good place to have food and water. During covid last year, I was happy to get back home and not have to deal with anything like a mask, or standing “ten feet away.” At home you can come back from a tiring day of work or school and grab something to eat and drink. I think everybody should be grateful for the other things other than food and water that their family adds. I love home because of these four things. I hope this gets a house for somebody, in habitat for humanity!
