What Home Means to Me
What Home Means to Me
By Rowyn
At first, home was a house, where I lived with my family, with a bed and a place to eat, but then I realized it was much more. Home was with my family, anywhere I was it felt like home when I was with them, a place to make so many memories. My home is my safe space where I can be myself. At home I have someone to talk to even if it is my friends. At home I feel comfortable with my friends and family, at home I know I will be seen and heard by everyone there. Home is where I can express my emotions, where we can create traditions with family and friends. Home is where I am loved, home is where I will not get judged. My home is a place beneath the stars where I can play around with my friends. Home is where me and my sister fight and become friends; home is where we see each other repeatedly. Home is where we can wake up and have breakfast, lunch, and dinner together. Home to me could also be the skating rink where I can be silly and laugh while also being myself. Home to me could also be at school where my friends will not leave me lonely and will always have my back whether I am sad or happy they will always be there. Home is where I can go fishing with my dad or shop with my mom. Your home does not need to be big, it could be small, from cabins to treehouses and cars, home is what you love the most. In summary, this is what home means to me.
