House and Home

A house is not a home. It has four walls and rooms but you don't call it a home. It has heat, water, food, and electricity but not the warmth you need. Houses have water and food that's made but not made with love of family. There's beds and closets filled with clothing but it doesn't have home made clothing. There are bathrooms with medicine but no one to give it to you. A home is where I laugh and play all day. I feel emotions like sadness and happiness. When I walk in my home I smell my cat's fur, I hear my brother talk about his day, I feel the love my dad has for me. Even though my mom died and I cried, I made it through it with my family. There's been ups and downs. We've had more than one. I had love through it all. You can go above and beyond. You're not the only one going through it. You're not alone.
