Home to Me

Home to me is where I live with my Mom, Dad, brother, my cat and two dogs. We live in a small place called Charlottetown, Labrador. Home is where my family comes to eat because my mom cooks delicious meals. She even cooks goose. My Nan and Pop come over too. I have a ski doo ,snow shoes ,skis and skates because we love to do things outside. My Mom likes to go with me and my Dad takes me on ski-doo. We have a lot of family here and we do things together. We play hockey and volleyball at the Rec Center. I love to play all sports and I go to hockey camps in summer. I am also learning to carve. My great pop was a carver and I probably got the skills from him. Some people say I am really good. I carve pictures of moose and other animals in wood. I also carve spoons and mugs. I made a mug for two of my pop’s and wooden spoons for my nan’s. They loved their wooden items and I loved doing them. I’m hoping to get some more wood to do more carving. I’m thankful to have a warm home to do my carvings and spend time with my family. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for building homes for other children to do the things they love.
