A House and a Home

There is a difference between a house and a home. A house is a physical structure like the walls and the roof, but a home is more than that. A home is a place where there is love. You can tell someone that you love them in words but if you really love them, you will show that you love them. If I were to sleep on the streets tonight, I would not miss my house, but I would miss my mom's cooking, my sisters laugh. I would miss my dad who always succeeds in making my sister, and I laugh. A home is a place where you feel safe, where you know that even if the whole world is against you your family will protect you. You don't need high-tech security to feel safe. All you need is your family, they are your built-in bodyguards who stick with you through high and low, thick and thin, rough or smooth, they are there for you. A home is a place you feel supported where every decision you make is supported. A home is more than a place you live. A home is who you live with where you share tears, joy, anger and grief. So, you see a home is way more than a floor and walls. A home is a place you are accepted for you.
