What Home is to Me

Home is a place that can’t be replaced by the smell of cooking delicious meals drifting through the air. Feeling warm and cozy, safe and loved there’s no place I'd rather be. Hearing the fire roar and my dad’s favorite sports, and music while my mom cooks. My home is not home without my Mom’s cooking, my dad's sports and my brother watching his favorite shows on his phone. In my home I know that I belong there. Celebrating holidays, special occasions, birthdays and anniversaries. With my dogs pitter pattering up and down the stairs and my hamster spinning on his wheel nibbling on his food. Home is my favorite place in the whole world, there’s no place I’d rather be home is where I feel safe to be myself, to cry, to smile. Home is a place where our laughter echoes with hugs and unlimited love. This is home to me.
