What Home Feels Like

What is home? Home is a place where joy wraps around you like a warm blanket. It's the sweet aroma of freshly baked brownies wafting through the air. It’s family dinners at the table, us laughing until we cry. The pleasure of lying down in the warm grass on a hot summer day. My room is my happy place, where I can escape and be myself. It’s the place where I can cry and laugh all I want and no one will ever judge me. Posters on my walls tell stories of my heroes, like Malala Yousafzai and Rosa Parks. Even the smallest corners hold memories of forts built with my sister, a place of imagination and play. Home is not just the structure, but the people within it. Family, always there to lift me up when I am down, friends, who bring laughter and light to our days. Home is more than a set of walls and a roof. It is a feeling that resides in the heart. A place where you can express yourself and escape from all your worries.
