The Meaning of Home

Home is a sacred, respected and loved place and I'm sure many other people think home is too. It's more than just some walls and a roof, home is a place where memories are made and cherished by you and your loved ones. Home is beautiful not just because of the house itself but because of the loving family inside and out. Home is a place where you are respected no matter your race, gender or identity. Home is where beautiful aromas float from the kitchen and food is eaten and it is amazing all because it’s made by the ones you love and cherish whether it’s your sibling, mom or your dad. Home, what does it mean? Well to me home is a warm and cozy place with loving tenants, which is your family. Home is a place to sleep with a roof over your head and food on the table to eat. It hurts my heart to see people without a home and even more sad is people who don’t have a loving family or support from anyone which prevents them from becoming a better version of themselves. With loving people around you and everyone in the world should be thankful for that. You should also be thankful for the little things in life because they make the biggest difference. In conclusion, home is a place where everyone belongs no matter who you are if you are family you belong and the love for your family in that home. I think Habitat for Humanity Canada is doing a great thing. They are helping people with medical conditions or homeless people become better versions of themselves with a brand new more accessible home. Overall, Habitat for Humanity is such a great charity organization.
