The meaning of home

A home is a place you can feel safe in every way. Having a home is great. Some people forget how fortunate we are, we have food on our plate, a cozy bed to sleep in, and much much more. For example, when I come home from my sports, I always smell my mom’s freshly baked dinner waiting to be served and it makes me feel at home. What makes you feel at home? I sometimes bring my books to school and while I am at home I am always reading, and when I do that at school I remember MY home. Some people don’t even have a house or food and that is why it is important to be grateful for having a home. The money we donate to charity can help homeless people have a chance to try out a shelter. Having something that makes you feel at home is very important because you can think of it when you are away from home or when you miss it. I believe if we all donate money to charity there will be much less homeless people in the world! Home isn’t just about the building, it is about the memories and the people you spend your time with in it. Like playing board games with your family or laughing about a funny joke. I love thinking about all the fun and meaningful things families can do and that makes me happy when I’m lonely. My house is the world to me because the people inside are always there for me and to make me feel safe. Thank you for a chance to make the world a better place. Have a nice day!
