Meaning of Home
The meaning of home is very important. It is not just about your own house, it can also be about community – the place / neighbourhood you live in.
To me, the meaning of home is family, friends, and freedom. Those are not the only things, though. It can also be memories, happiness, the people that you share it with, and more.
I also appreciate a lot of things in my home. For example, food on my plate, and a roof over my head. Also, a bed which I sleep on every night.
The meaning of home may also be culture. You're around people who share your culture. Your home can also be your happy place, the place you cherish, the place that is special to you.
When I get home, right away, I feel safe. No one can hurt me. I am protected. I have people by my side who care about me, respect me, are kind to me, and love me.
Your home is also where you are treated equally, regardless of your skin tone, background, and much more.
Ontario is also my home, along with Canada and Oakville. It's where I can find lakes, parks, shopping centres, the library, and especially my school.
My school is like a second home to me. Just like in my house, my school makes me feel like I'm loved, respected, safe, and surrounded by friends and people I can trust and go to when I'm flustered, confused, or having a bad day. That is my opinion on the meaning of home.
